Repost: Blister

Aug 28: Blister
On the plus side, I had the first class meeting of my other class today, and it looks like it should be a good class. I mean, okay, the reading list is intense, and having a paper due every single week might drive me nuts, but the professor seems like a lot of fun. And there’s enough students to make things interesting; we can get a good discussion going.

On the down side, my new sandals have turned out to be entirely no good, and they in fact gave me a blister on one of my toes. That hurts like heck.

Also, a book I really wanted to check out of the library appears to be missing, so I may have to buy it, or its nearest approximation. (It’s a general survey on Mycenaean archaeology, culture et cetera. The annoying thing is that the library’s catalog has another general survey of Mycenaean culture listed…and it, too, is missing.)

Post-repost comment:  the library staff were able to find the book I was looking for (someone must have put it back in the wrong place) so that’s something, anyway.
