Everywhere you look now, you see things with “sea salt caramel.” A while back, it was all “creme brulee” or “red velvet.” (Not that either of those two has disappeared from the shelves, especially not red velvet.)
Why the heck is that? I mean, it’s not that they’re bad flavors, but it’s so weird how they flare up like that. Food didn’t used to have fads.
I think–and I could be completely wrong here–that it’s something about the Internet, especially with all those social media sites nowadays. (Though I suppose this site also counts as a social media site…)
I think I originally had some kind of point I wanted to make, but I’ve only had about half as much caffeine as usual today, so I’m sort of semi-comatose. So I’ve forgotten it. If I had one to start with.
