Missing Letter Mondays – No “R”

Published September 28, 2015 by Iphis of Scyros

Latin

I’ve been studying dead languages.
(Again.)
Not gotten much done yet,
But it’s the thought that counts.
(Well, usually.)
Today’s lesson was odd:
The Iliad, badly summed up,
In clunky Latin.
But the textbook!
Oh, God, the textbook!
(I’ve had it since high school.)
It has sketches.
To show you what it’s talking about,
I suppose they would explain.
But…but…but…
SO UGLY!!!
I hate them.
I hate the sketches.
I wish they would go away.
No one should be that ugly.
Not the dog, not Flaccus,
Not even the dead bodies.
(Yeah, dead bodies.)
It’s just too ugly.
I want to magic them away,
And put nice ones in the book instead.
(I don’t think that’s possible, though.)
Why didn’t they use photos instead?

Not much of a post, but at least I wasn’t complaining about my ankle!  (And that had been my plan…)

  • Hi 🙂
I also did a blog post about the missing R, but I did it as a puzzle, so my readers have to guess, what letter is missing 🙂
