At least a bit, anyway.
I was able to write this morning, and got up to the introduction of the other lead, so that’s good. Especially since on the way I went through an awesome sequence in which I referenced “Goblin Market”, Labyrinth, the original book version of The Neverending Story, Mobile Suit Gundam (the 1979 original), and Doctor Who (new show, unfortunately). It was an awesome sequence that I will, sadly, probably never top. But it made for a good start to the day. 🙂 (I will probably post it tomorrow, but today I can’t be arsed to turn on my internet laptop, and am using my phone instead. Because lazy.)
My word count for today was 2,411, making a total so far of 35,840 in November. I am hopeful, btw, that I’ll get this new project, the one that would have been the official NaNo project, up to 50k before the month is out, though I doubt I’ll have any chance of finishing the novel. (Doubt? No, that’s not true: I know I won’t finish it in November.)
Anyway, in other news, like all the other sheep on the Internet, I now have access to Disney+, and I was checking it out while having my dinner. (I used Moana as my profile icon, because Merida wasn’t a choice that I could see.) Having spent a little time on it, I now know in what way it will dominate my time: animated short subjects. There’s apparently something they’re doing through Pixar that I suspect is a bit like post-graduate theses in animation (or maybe not, I dunno), and they have a great potential to suck away oodles of my time.
And if you like animals at all, you absolutely must watch the one called “Kitbull” (or was it “Kit bull”?) The closest comparison I can make is Chuck Jones’s masterpiece (one of a great many) “Feed the Kitty”, but they’re not really much like each other at all. “Feed the Kitty”‘s dog has a very anthropomorphized mental process (even though he looks completely canine and doesn’t talk), while in all of “Kitbull” there’s only one brief instant in which the animals behave at all unlike actual animals. The kitten is especially perfectly feline. It’s just a super-cute, super-sweet short, and all animal lovers should see it. 🙂
Anyway, I shall sign off here, because, having finished with Shin Megami Tensei Strange Journey Redux at long last, I’ve finally started Persona Q 2, and I must away to rescue Queen and Noir from Kamishidaman. (But the next person/people I rescue better freakin’ be dudes! I’m sick of the damsel in distress crap. I wanna have Joker be rescuing Kanji or Junpei, or the heroes of Persona 4 and Persona 3 (though I have no idea how they can have both the male and female P3 protags in the same game at the same time…)! )
